Game Time: Final J2150 Project

Before spring break I learned that Thomas, Leo and I would be working together on the final project. I’m very happy to be working with those two and I think all of us bring something different to the table and will make a great team.

As a group we’ve decided to go with Thomas’ idea of the CoMO Smash Bros. Scene, where we will be talking to and interviewing gamers who will be playing Super Smash Brothers competitively. Thomas laid out a great plan for the project and we think we’ll get a lot of great content for the finished product.

I have a little background knowledge as I played Super Smash Brothers a lot as a kid, and played a lot of video games in general. I’m not totally up-to-date on video games today, so I have a little bit of learning to do.

NBA Street, Madden 2005, Gameboy Color, and Pokemon Silver sits in Ron Davis' apartment in Columbia, Mo on Saturday, April 5th, 2015. These a couple games that Davis played a lot during his childhood.

I can tell that the gamers we talk to will be very passionate about video games, and I think that we will have no trouble in getting the most authentic, genuine thoughts in our interviews. Again, Thomas thought of a great plan for this idea, and all we have to do is work hard and follow it.

It’s very fortunate that we’ll have several lab days that just dedicated to working on the project, and we will certainly take advantage of those and Prof. Johnson’s time with us. I’m very optimistic that we have the right team, the right plan, and the right environment to get a very good grade on the final project. No excuses.
